52nd State Junior Girls' Kabaddi C'ship : NAYA beat VETO to earn top honour

Imphal, July 31 2026: NAYA, Nongmaikhong Awang Leikai sealed the title of the 52nd Manipur State Junior Girls' Kabaddi Championship 2026 hosted by the Socio Economy Development Organisation (SEDO) under the auspices of the Manipur State Kabaddi Association at its Nongmaikhong Mayai Leikai playground.

NAYA got the better of VETO, Laphupat Tera by 24-21 points to seal the top honour this afternoon.

NAYA's Ningthoujam Bidyapati was adjudged best player as Haobam Somi Chanu of VETO was named best catcher.

Earlier, NAYA outlasted NYDA, Nongmaikhong Makha Leikai 30-12 to set up the final date with VETO who got the better of UPS, Kumbi 37-15 .

9 teams clubbed into two Pools participated in the championship that was formally closed in the presence of Yumnam Radheshyam, MLA Hiyang AC as chief guest; Ningthoujam Lokendro, president MSKA as functional president; A Jeeten, chairman MSKA; Th Motilal, secretary MSKA; Huidrom Kishorjit, president KDKA; Mayengbam Angangjao, secretary KDKA and others as guests of honour.
