30th Senior State Archery Championship begins, ARAC take lead with 6 medals

Imphal, September 12 2018:
The 30th Senior State Archery Championship, 2018 being organised by Manipur Archery Association kick-started today at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex.
Around 200 archers from different archery associations or units will be competing in the Indian Round, Fita and Compound events at this championship.
The first day of the championship saw ARAC start their title campaign registering 2 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Kumari Sapana Singh of ARAC opened the medal tally in the women's individual 50 m Indian Round events scoring a total of 322 points.
M Aruna of MPSC (316 pts) and Okram Naobi Chanu claimed the second and the third spot in this event.
ARAC continued their stellar performances in the men's individual 50 m Indian Round event with Ch Johnson claiming the gold with a score of 330 points while ARAC's Zhokoto Demo (329) and Ishak Sinate (328) finished second and third.
P Soniya of YAC laid her hand on the gold medal in the senior women 30 M Indian Round event with a score of 333 points while BCAC's W Maleshori (321; X-5, 10-10) and ARAC's Kumari Sapana Singh (321; X-3, 10-7) claimed the silver and the bronze medals.
In the men's individual 30 m Indian Round competition, SICA's Th Langamba bagged a gold medal with a score of 334 points while ARAC's Zhokhoto Demo (333 pts) and Ch Johnson (331 pts) sealed the silver and the bronze medals.
