Imphal, September 12 2018:
In a statement issued by ATRPFM, it is alleged the State Government violated the constitutional safeguards enshrined in the Constitution by constituting a Cabinet Sub-Committee which was not required at all while adding they have approached and requested the Government and their tribal representatives but the Government and the tribal leaders are reluctant to revoke the unconstitutional committee.
ATRPFM accordingly will explore other means as they have exhausted all other means to rectify the constitutional flaws, added the statement.
ATRPFM condemned the arrest of two of their executive members - General secretary and Vice President from their office at around 6:45 pm by commando personnel which is not democracy, mentioned the statement.
ATRPFM appealed the legislatures and the executive to act according to the law and constitutional provisions to gain their full support, maintained the statement.
