1st Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament ESU, SCCC secure wins in last league matches

ESU, Wangkhei secure a huge 47 run victory in their last league match of the 1st Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament against PTCC, Patsoi while SCCC, Singjamei also enjoyed a 40 run victory over YAC, Yaiskul in the last league match of the tournament.
The tournament is organised by Langthabal Sporting Club under the aegis of Manipur Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground from January 7 .
In the first match of the day, ESU who won the toss chose wisely to bat first.
They took off the inning to a flying start with Mehul smashing 37 runs off 31 balls and Shankar making 32 runs of 28 balls.
Ronson and Wilson also scored 17 runs each to post a total of 153 runs for 8 in 20 overs.
Sohail and Kenjit of PTCC claimed 2 wickets each while Donadoni picked 1 in this inning.
In reply, PTCC could not overcome the pace and lengths spelled by the Wangkhei side eventually perishing at 106 runs for 6 in 20 overs.
Kenjit made 31 runs in this inning while Sohail scored 21 runs off 41 balls.
Sohail also contributed 16 runs in the chase.
Wilson and Surjit who were alloted 2 overs were able to pick 2 wickets each in this inning.
Mehul also took one wicket in one over and was latter declared man of the match.
The other match of the day saw, SCCC claimed a 40 run victory in a high scoring match.
SCCC who opted to bat first got off to a solid start posting a total of a huge 194 runs for 6 in 20 overs.
The top orders of SCCC coordinated well and pushed together for an average scoring in this inning.
Roshan scored 33 runs in 21 balls while Durgesh made 32 runs off 15 ball and stayed on the crease not out.
Sandeep who was also not out kept the scoring fest on tract and hit 30 runs off 20 balls in this inning.
Ullenyai of the same team also contributed 29 runs in 29 balls.
Joychandra of YAC though could not hinder the strike rate of the rivals picked 3 wickets in 4 overs he had.
Jemson and Arnold claimed one wicket each in this inning.
The chase almost look chaseable when Monjit of YAC who came out as opener blasted off an outstanding 78 runs off 56 deliveries but the other batsmen who came out following his ouster could not produced an impressive run today.
They managed to score upto 154 runs for 3 in 20 overs to hand the Singjamei side a 40 run victory.
Rakesh and Somorjit made 23 runs and 11 runs each in this chase.
Kishan claimed two of the wickets in the second inning while Boris claimed the single.
