MLA takes stock of Government school

Thanga AC MLA T Robindro inspected Thanga Government High School at Thanga, Bishnupur district today.
During the inspection, the MLA came across the pathetic infrastructure of the school.
Classroom floors were found to have cracks and many of the rooms had falling doors and missing windows.
The school toilets were found ridden with holes and were unusable.
Almost all the classrooms were found to have no adequate benches and desks.
Apart from the pathetic condition of the school, currently it has only 10 staff (teaching and non-teaching) .
Thanga Government High School, a co-ed school is the lone Government school in Thanga.
During the inspection, T Robindro said that he had contacted the departments concerned and Minister to improve the infrastructure of the school earlier but there has been no development regarding the matter till now.
Blaming the Government and departments for ignoring the school, he said that if the Government continues to ignore and delay appropriate actions, he will improve the condition of the school himself.
One toilet block with four toilets for boys, one urinal block (boys) and one block with three toilets for girls have been constructed from the MLA local area development funds, he said.
School Management Committee lauded MLA T Robindro for his contribution to improve the school and appealed related authorities of the State Government and the MLA for speedy improvement of the school.
