Imphal, January 31 2018:
Decrying One-Time Relaxation Policy of the Government and demanding their rights, Managers, Deputy Managers and Assistant Managers of Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) and Manipur State Power Company Limited (MSPCL) launched cease work strike from yesterday onward.
According to a statement, there has been a huge improvement towards power supply to the State since the unbundling of Power Department as MSPDCL and MSPCL) .
It stated that Managers, Deputy Managers and Assistant Managers who are direct recruits through MPSC have been playing a crucial role for effective implementation of projects and operation and maintenance of the power supply system in the State.
The statement further stated that inspite of the tremendous contribution and sincere efforts being put in by the new recruits, it is a sad affair that there is no proper HR policy in place for their welfare and proper career growth.
Instead, it is learnt that there is a programme to bypass all possible norms and rules to promote senior staffs from the Power Department through twisted One-Time Relaxation Policy of the Government .
This has tremendously demoralised all the young and energetic new recruits to even do their daily routine, it lamented.
The statement made it clear that the cease work strike would continue till the concerned authority provides an assurance that their rightful demands will be considered.
