YDC run riot in Thoubal Super Division Football League opener

Imphal, August 17 2022: YDC got their campaign off to a resounding start with a 12-0 demolition of RPU in the opening match of the Thoubal Super Division Football League 2022 at Wangjing Kodompokpi on Wednesday.

Kh Birjit stole the show with a five-goal salvo.

It was Birjit himself who opened the floodgates with a 5th-minute strike before he ran riot scoring a quick treble.

He doubled the lead in the 23rd minute, found his third goal in the 25th minute and made it 4-0 in the 29th minute.

M Kishan further stretched their lead in the 39th minute before Birjit collected his fifth goal seconds before the end of first-half injury time.

After the break, YDC's goal rush continued with S Gobinchandra leading the onslaught (47', 58', 76'), followed by M Kishan (43', 70') and W Dinesh (62') as YDC enjoyed an easy day in their campaign opener.
