Dalit Sahitya Akademi remembers patriots

Imphal, August 17 2022: Apart from observing Patriots' Remembrance Day-2022, Dalit Sahitya Akademi, Manipur presented awards and certificate of excellence and organised poets' meet and discussion on Wednesday at Manipur Press Club here.

Wangkhei MLA Th Arunkumar was chief guest of the event which was also attended by DM University vice chancellor professor N Rajmuhon and Dalit Sahitya Akademi national secretary Y Mahendrakumar.

During the event, Dr Oinam Chaoba Meitei spoke on the topic 'Ningtam Landa Athoubasing' as a resource person and later facilitated a discussion session on the topic.

During the programme, the Indo-Thailand Friendship Award- 2022 was presented by Dalit Sahitya Akademi Thailand to psychiatrist Dr Khangembam Robindro Singh in recognition of his exemplary work in the past six years in the field of treatment of mental illness, de-addiction and raising awareness on these issues in rural areas.
