ZSYC, Japhou YC script wins in Chandel 1st Division League

Imphal, October 18 2024: ZSYC and Japhou YC notched up wins in Friday's fixtures of the Chandel 1st Division Football League 2024 at Ziontlang Ground.

ZSYC shrugged off an early deficit to beat Khongjon YC 2-1 as Franklin starred in their victory.

Khongjon YC took an early lead through Koborson Roel, who converted six minutes into the game.

However, ZSYC turned the game around in the next 27 minutes, thanks to Franklin.

The ZSYC striker made it all square with a 33rd-minute finish and then sealed the victory with a decisive goal in the 60th minute.

Later, Japhou YC scored at both ends for a 2-0 win over Liwa Khullen YC.

D Renghon opened the scoring in the 28th minute, and Chanhingam added a goal in the 70th minute for the eventual result.

In the day's 2nd Division League, Purumtampak SC eased past Liwa Sarei 2-0 with strikes from Kenneth (25) and Shangdam (65).In another match, Alpha netted a goal to help Penaching YC defeat Mosang Pantha YCC 1-0 .

Alpha scored the match-winning goal in the 63rd minute.
