SHADOW, SCCC triumph in MNCA U-16 Boys' NRS Trophy

SHADOW (Thangmeiband) overpowered RULE (Meitram) by 9 wickets while SCCC (Singjamei) outplayed CDCC (Sagolband) by 29 runs in the 5th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthoou Singh Memorial Trophy 2024-25 on Friday.
Opting to field first, SHADOW dismissed RULE for 70 runs in 24.4 overs.
Sagatpam Lanchenba starred with the ball, claiming 4 wickets, supported by Arubam Goshan Singh and Chinglemba Haobam with two wickets each, while Laishram Bidyasagar Meitei took one.
Sanathoi Sanjenbam top-scored for RULE with 19 runs, but none of their other batsmen reached double digits.
In response, Lanchenba continued his stellar performance, scoring an unbeaten 33 alongside Devis Khunja-mayum (12 not out), guiding SHADOW to victory in just 11.1 overs, losing only one wicket in the process.
Yohenba Konjenbam was the sole dismissal, falling to Indrakkumar Singh Sanjenbam.
Meanwhile, SCCC (Singjamei) triumphed over CDCC (Sagolband) by 29 runs at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-III Cherapur, Thoubal, thanks to outstanding performances from bowlers Moirangthem Johnson and Rahul Thingbaijam.
Asked to bat first, SCCC posted 155 runs before being bowled out in 27.5 overs, with Konthoujam Tomthin-ganba Singh leading the way with an unbeaten 49.CDCC's bowling attack was led by Iquebal Korimayum, who took 4 wickets, while Warish Khan and Misbaul Haque claimed 2 wickets each, and Khulakpam Anash took 1.Despite a solid effort from Imran Khan, who scored 31 runs in CDCC's chase, Johnson's remarkable 5-wicket haul and Rahul's 4 wickets ensured CDCC were dismissed for 126 runs in 22.3 overs, securing victory for SCCC.
