YSC win Ibudhou Yangbi Pakhangba Cup

Imphal, July 21 2024: Youth Sporting Club (Lousangkhong) were declared winners of the 5th Ibudhou Yangbi Pakhangba Cup, a 9 a-side football tournament for men, after a draw of lots.

In the final match on Sunday, the Lousangkhong squad and Seijang Progressive Youth Club played out a 0-0 draw after regulation time, leading to a penalty shootout with the two teams still level.

As a result, the winners were determined by a draw of lots, which went in favour of the Youth Sporting Club.

The closing ceremony of the Ibudhou Yangbi Pakhangba Cup, organised by Nongmeikon Progressive Youth Club (NPYC), Chana, was attended by RPl(Athawale) working president Laitonjam Haridash, NPYC president Senjam Dilipkumar Meitei, Socialist Student Union of Manipur president S Yaima, Village Development Committee Chana general secretary Oinam Okensana, Rani Phi Collection Centre Tellou proprietor Pebam Nanda, Louriyam Bishambor, Village Development Committee Chana auditor Ksh Ibomcha, Pakhangba Poultry Farming proprietor Wakambam Ingba Meitei and Thokchom Jitenyaima as chief guest, president, guests of honour and special guest, respectively.
