Sinlun Club win Jiri futsal tournament

Jiribam, August 10 2024: Sinlun Club (B) beat Digli Naharol Lamjing Club 4-2 in the final of the 1st Mazarun Bibi Memorial Senior Futsal Tournament 2024 at Jiribam Higher Secondary School playground on Friday.

Ranju Barman scored in the 3rd minute to give Digli Naharol Lamjing Club the lead.

But A Chakritombi Sinlun netted the equalised for Club (B) in the 4th minute and went on to put his team ahead after scoring his second goal in the 16 th minute.

Moments later, Mondol Ra-jbongsi restored parity for Digli Naharol Lamjing Club, heading into the second half.

A Chakritombi scored his third goal in the 42nd minute before teammate Th Ibochouba found their fourth goal in the 43rd minute to eventually secure the win and title for Sinlun Club (B).

The final match was attended by P Somenta Singh, District Youths & Sport affairs officer, Jiribam; M Brajakanta Singh, president All Jiribam Sports Association; and Md Baharudin, donor, as chief guest, president and guest of honour, respectively.
