Imphal, August 31: NEROCA (Shangakpham), TRUGPU (Nambol) and SSU (Singjamei) scripted victories away from home as ESU, Wangkhei downed visitors USA, Khurai by a solitary goal while MPSC and NISA, Thangmeiband split points after a 2-2 draw at the former's MPTC Pangei ground in today's matches of the 3rd Manipur State League football tournament.

Taking on PYC at Phoudel, NEROCA opened the score in the 11th minute through O Peter as Sh Somarjit (53rd), Chakrabarti (78th) and Ibochouba (84th) struck on one occasion each for the convincing win.

The hosts' Md Riyazkhan narrowed the score deficit in the 59th minute.

At Hiyangthang Kangjeibung home side TRAU, Kwakeithel suffered 2-0 defeat at the hands of SSU, Singjamei on goals from L Tiken (25th) and L Devan (75th).TRUGPU, Nambol also collected maximum point defeating AMOFA, Moirang 2-0 at Moirang Multi-purpose Hr Secy school ground.

G Anthony Kabui struck the match opener in the 29th minute before S Sudhiranjan wrapped up the game with an 89th minute goal.

The only home team to win today were ESU, Wangkhei when Esau Kom found the USA net in the 57th minute while MPSC fought back to deny defending champion NISA an outright win when I Nilakumar scored his second of the match six minutes from time.

Nilakumar had scored in the 32nd minute which the visitors neutralised five minutes later through Th Santosh before NISA surged agead on M Bijen's 64th minute goal.
