Imphal, May 11 2021: The Naga Chiefs Association, Chandel (NCAC) appealed to the Government to remove the incumbent District Fishery Officer (DFO) Chandel, Kh Ibetombi from her post at the earliest in the interest and welfare of Chandel people.

In a press release, NCAC said that a memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister by NCAC demanding removal of the DFO through the Deputy Commissioner of Chandel on May 7 however no measures have been taken up by the Government regarding their demand which is unfortunate.

It further stated that many schemes and project under Fishery Department has completely failed under Kh Ibetombi therefore many Civil Society Organisations of Chandel also expressed their grievances through leading local newspapers against the posting of Kh Ibetombi as the DFO of Chandel.
