Imphal, June 07 2021: A Datsun car (MN01G5708) driven by one Laitangbam Upendro Meetei (43), son of L Nabachandra Meitei of Porompat Thawanthanba Leikai rammed at several vehicles and killed one passer-by at Tera Loukrakpam Leikai around 6:30 pm Monday.

According to police report, the car first hit a Fort Figo (UK07AV8408) and then rammed into a Baleno (MN01AG0639) which was parked on the roadside.

Further, the Datsun car hit a pedestrian, one Chungkham Ibetombi Singh (71), son of Late Mangoljao Singh of Tera Loukrakpam Leikai.

The injured person was rushed to RIMS Hospital but succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

The accused has been arrested by the Lamphel police and the vehicles involved in the incident seized for further necessary legal action.
