Couple arrested with DIC liquor, IMFL

Imphal, May 27 2021: A police team led by additional SP (LO) Kangpokpi Thangkhochon Haokip arrested a man and his wife with DIC liquor and IMFL.

Identifying the arrested couple as Prem Tamang (25) and his wife Rita Tamang of Kangpokpi Ward No 17, police sources said that both were rounded up from S Golai as they were transporting the illicit liquor in an autorickshaw.

The seized liquor included six litres of DIC liquor; one 750 ml bottle, nine 375 ml bottles and three 180 ml bottles of Rum along with one Kingfisher beer (500 ml) .

The arrested couple along with the seized items has been handed over to Kangpokpi police station for further legal action.
