Imphal, October 13 2008:
Transport Directorate has informed the owners/drivers of commercial vehicles including Government departments (Central/State) that use of gas horn in public places is an offence under rule 119(2) of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989.The directorate also directed all the DTOs and STA to launch special drives for booking MV offences in this regard.
