Imphal, August 02 2009:
Altogether 49 undertrial male prisoners including those under medical treatment have been shifted from Imphal Central Jail to Sajiwa Jail.
In a similar move, 38 women prisoners have been brought to Imphal Central Jail from Sajiwa Jail, conveyed an official source.
Consequent upon the move, there is no more women prisoner in Sajiwa Jail whereas Imphal Jail has no male prisoner.
However, the source refused to divulge the reasons behind the cross transfer of prisoners.
