Educational Multimedia Research Centre, Manipur University organised a seminar on the topic, 'education through information communication technology in the North East' at EduSat hall of EMMRC.
MU Vice-Chancellor Prof C Amuba and former Additional Director of University and Higher Education, O Bhogendra Singh graced the occasion as chief guest and president respectively.
The morning session of the seminar was moderated by O Bhogendra.
Design Engineer of DOEACC Centre, Akampat, Buboo Angom presented paper on the topic, 'education through web-based teaching and learning in the North East'.
Dr L Leiren of the Department of Education gave presentation on 'education through television network in the North East'.
In the afternoon session, Vice-president of X-treme Wave, J Joyremba presented paper on, 'education through electronically packaged coursewares' and L Ranendra, Research Scientist of EMMRC, MU presented on 'education through EduSat in the North East'.
Prof Th Jekendra was the moderator of the afternoon session.
The seminar was organised as part of the silver jubilee year celebration of the UGC-CEC's countrywide classroom programme launched in 1984 and still continuing for viewing on Doordarshan, Gyandarshan and UGC-CEC's educational channel.
