Assam Rifles seizes illegal liquor

Imphal, January 24 2023: Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) seized illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor at mobile vehicle check post near Nungourok village in Tengnoupal district on January 21 .

According to PRO IGAR (S), based on specific input, troops of Modi Battalion along with a team of Manipur Terriers established a mobile vehicle check post on NH 102 which led to the seizure of 29 cases of liquor and apprehension of one person near Nungourok village.

The liquor worth Rs 2,08,800 was being carried in Tata Magic (MN 04 A 3556).The apprehended individual along with illegal liquor and vehicle has been handed over to Excise Office, Pallet for further proceedings.
