UG suspect slain

Imphal, July 09 2015 : One suspected UG cadre has been slain in a reported encounter with troops of 11 Assam Rifles near T Minou village, close to Indo-Myanmar border in Chandel district at around 3 am today.

The encounter site is under the jurisdiction of Moreh Police station.

However, the identity of the slain UG suspect could not be established till the time of filing this report.

Two landmines, one hand grenade and a country made pistol were reportedly recovered from near the slain UG suspect.

The deceased was wearing Lungri and he looked like a Myanmar National.

The corpse has been picked up by a team of Moreh police station, informed a source.
