Imphal, April 18 2009: Soil treatment programme taken up by Agriculture Department in coordination with different NGOs has been launched at Andro in Imphal East district today.

During the programme, experts and scientists explained various methods of keeping soil healthy and improving soil quality for better crop production.

The inaugural programme was also attended by Additional Director of Agriculture L Palendro, Joint Director (Planning) G Shamu Kabui and Deputy Director (Soil Chemist) Ph Rajendro.
