Landslide blocks NH-37, many vehicles stranded

Imphal, August 10 2024: A massive landslide measuring around 150 metres completely blocked NH-37 (Imphal-Jribam road) in Awangkhul area thereby leaving many vehicles stranded on both the sides of the highway.

According to sources, the landslide occurred at around 3pm on Friday but machineries of NHIDCL have started removing debris blocking the road and likely to clear the road by Sunday.

Due to the landslide, many loaded vehicles coming from Jiribam side and empty vehicles moving from Imphal towards Jiribam side have been stranded on both the sides of the road.
