Imphal, January 03: A public meeting held at Sugnu Ima Keithel yesterday under the aegis of the JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Hemkhogin Haokip by Unknown Miscreants has strongly condemned the killing of the H Gamnom village chief.

The public meeting attended by people of different ethnic groups also asked the individuals/group(s) concerned involved in the killing for an explicit explanation for their act.

The meeting resolved to appeal to all relevant authorities to find out the causes and circumstances leading to the killing of Hemkhogin Haokip.

It also decided to go ahead with various forms of agitation until the culprits are booked under law.

Another resolution of the meeting was to appeal to the people to refrain from floating false propaganda that may lead to misunderstanding among different ethnic groups.
