Imphal, October 18 2024: A lifetime achievement award called "Art ta Kathoklaba Thawai" will be awarded in the memory of theatre activist Late Elangbam Birkumar Singh.

The award will be conferred every year to commemorate Late Elangbam Birkumar's lifelong contribution in the field of theatre.

This year, "Art ta Kathoklaba Thawai" will be presented to Lointongbam Brajamohan Singh, senior director of Rupmahal Theatre in recognition of his tireless effort in promoting the art form despite various hardships & challenges.

The award will be presented during the closing ceremony of 47th Drama Festival.
