Water supply to be disrupted
Source: The Sangai Express
Imphal, August 10 2024:
The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) has informed all concerned that the intake pump at the Irilbung Water Treatment Plant has been shut down due to testing of a new intake pumps and raw waterpipeline, which has been newly constructed adjacent to the old plant.
Additionally, the former intake unit is also non-operational due to high water level.
As a result, the Water Treatment Plant is currently unable to produce treated water.
Normal water supply will resume as soon as the testing of the new intake unit is completed, said PHED in a release.
