Imphal, May 08 2009: Ningombam Madhubala (50) w/o Agriculture Officer N Sarat (55) of Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi Mayengbam Leirak was injured in a grenade attack undertaken by some unidentified persons at the residence of the AO at about 6.40 pm today.

Madhubala was watering flowers when the grenade exploded.

She was hit by shrapnel on the right abdomen and right leg.

She has been admitted at Shija Hospitals.

The grenade that exploded on the southern side of the courtyard damaged window panes and some flower pots.
