Imphal, May 25 2014: With the aim of giving children an insight into the various weapons and equipment used by the defence forces and also to motivate them to join the defence forces as a career, 30 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised a Weapon Display at Sainik School Imphal on May 23 .

Group Captain (Dr.) DD Mishra, Principal, Lieutenant Colonel Gurbir Singh, Vice Principal and Squadron Leader Subha Rao, Registrar of the Sainik School participated in the event along with students, said a release of PRO, IGAR (south) adding that the children were very excited to see the weapons and showed inquisitiveness and a lot of passion towards the defence forces.
