Meira Paibis, clubs in Wangoo area ban selling & using of drugs

Imphal, April 19 2018: Wangoo Apunba Meira Paibi and club organisa- tions in an around Wangoo has today resolved and also notified that sales of illegal drugs and abusing drugs are prohibited in Wangoo.

The resolution was taken in a public meeting held at Wangoo Mayai Leikai Mandap.

A rally was also carried out in and around Wangoo against drug abuses after the meeting.

The meeting resolved to ban sale of alcohol, tobacco items, heroin and other drugs.

A fine of Rs 10 lakh will be imposed on any person found selling or abusing drugs/using the banned items, the meeting further decided.
