Tree plantation drive held at Haochong

Noney, July 18 2021: Noney Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQs 22 Sector AR and IGAR(East) organised a tree plantation drive at Haochong village today.

In continuation of its effort to promote afforestation and create awareness among the locals, TOB Haochong of Noney Battalion conducted the tree plantation drive under the theme "Save Trees, Save Earth".

Tree plantation drives were also carried out at Noney, Kotlien, Tupul, Awangkhul, Khongsang and Nungba.

A total of 1290 saplings were planted in and around Haochong village, Battalion Headquarters, Company Operating Bases and along National Highway 37.The mass tree plantation drive would supplement greenery and negate the ill effects of deforestation.
