Imphal, January 25 2023: The Central Bureau of Communication, Regional Office, Imphal has won the Best Government Department Award given by the Election Commission of India for the best election practices 2022 .

Deputy Commissioner Imphal West Th Kirankumar and Superintendent of Police Churachandpur Shivanand Surve have also won the General Award for Innovative Measures and Security Management respectively.

The awards were given by President Droupadi Murmu in presence of Union Minister of Law Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State (Law) Prof SP Sigh Baghel, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar at Manekshaw Centre, Delhi Cantonment today on the 13th National Voters' Day.

Manipur won 3 awards including one National award out of 13 .
