Imphal, October 24 2009: A joint general meeting of the Six Hill District Council Teachers' Association and its employees' union held yesterday at the Council House, Chingmeirong has resolved to call off the ongoing cease work strike with immediate effect from October 23 following an assurance to fulfil the charter of demands of the employees at the earliest possible.

Announcing this today, a statement jointly signed by president of All Manipur District Council Teachers' Association Wiching Pamei and its general secretary Tual Khanlal has appealed to all the members of the Association and its employees' union to attend office and take classes as usual purely in the interest of the establishment and the students at large.
