Imphal, October 06: Reacting on the news report published on some local dailies of September 27 edition, headman of Thiwa village, HL Ruichamhao said that Poumai Masou Me does not have the authority to claim that Thiwa is a Poumai village.

As there is no position of chairmanship in the village, PMM's claim of LY Chilang as the chairman of the village is baseless, added the headman.

Maintaining that appointment of headman in the village is based on hereditary, the headman said that PMM's claim of LY Chilang was being elected by the villagers as the chairman is unfounded.
