Imphal, June 30 2019: Department of Social Welfare has conducted a one day training programme under the theme " Social legislations relating to children and child protection for medical practitioners" at City Convention Centre, Palace Compound, here, yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, Joint Director of Social Welfare, Bunty Konthoujam said that the programme was organised to give public legal education about the rights granted to children for their safety/protection by the Constitution of India.

Programme Manager, State Adoption Resource Authority, Ghaynilaxmi Thongam, Chairperson of Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Imphal East, Irengbam Vikramjit and Chairperson of CWC, Imphal West, Th Rajkeshor Singh also spoke as the resource persons of the event.
