AR nabs one PLA cadre

Imphal, May 08 2009: Based on the specific information regarding movement of PLA cadres on NH-39, troops of 34 Assam Rifles of 9 sector under HQ IGAR(South) established mobile vehicle check post in general area Thoubal market and apprehended one PLA cadre on May 7, a PIB (DW) press statement claimed.

The apprehended cadre has been identified as SS Pvt Laishram Nongyai (32), son of L Pishak, a resident of Laikhong Mamang Leikai, Imphal East.

One Motor Cycle, (MN 04/8196), cash amount of Rs 160, a Chinese mobile and one Driving license were recovered from his possession, it stated.

The apprehended cadre, along with the recovered items has been handed over to Thoubal Police Station the same day, added the statement.
