CAU organises cleanliness drive

Imphal, March 29 2022: Under the guidance of its dean professor Indira Sarangthem, College of Agriculture, CAU Imphal organised a cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on Tuesday.

Students and staff members of the college participated in the programme, which was organised with the objective to create awareness among the people regarding cleanliness and its benefit and also to promote plastic free environment.

As part of the programme, drains and roads from ICAR Lamphelpat to Central Agricultural University, Headquarters, Lamphelpat were cleaned.

Wrappers and plastic waste were picked up and put in dustbin.

After cleaning the area, placards displaying cleanliness slogans were installed.

At the end, all the participants took pledge for keeping their respective homes and localities neat and tidy.
