Imphal, September 20 2024: An elderly person who was undergoing treatment at JNIMS Hospital after being rescued by the Elderline with the assistance of the Social Welfare Department and City Police from Thangal Bazar on September 7, 2024 died on September 18 .

The dead body is being kept at JNIMS morgue for identification.

If no one comes forward to claim the dead body by September 22, the same will be disposed of as per law, said a press release issued by the OC of Porompat police station.
