Noney, August 31 2024: The Chief Medical Officer of Noney district Dr Zianthuilung Kamei has clarified that no Monkeypox (Mpox) case has been detected in the jurisdiction of Noney district till date.

The notification was issued in response to rumours regarding a case of Monkeypox (Mpox) being detected in Noney district circulating in social media such as facebook, WhatsApp etc.

Issuing a clarification to the contrary, CMO Noney has urged the public to remain calm and to refrain from spreading or believing such unverified rumours.
