AMRPSWA appeals

The All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) has appealed to all private schools and teachers concerned to compulsorily attend online integrated teacher training programme being initiated in a bid to realize the vision of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 .
AMRPSWA, in a press release noted that National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 which is a new comprehensive framework to guide the development of education in the country, has been adopted in few States and Manipur is also planning to fully adopt the policy from 2022 onwards.
AMRPSWA, however expressed apprehension that majority of the teachers may have not attended teacher training programme being conducted in this regard although teachers of Government and Government aided schools have received training under NISHTHA (National Initiative for School Heads' and Teachers' Holistic Advancement) 1.0 initiative for elementary level (Class I-VIII) and NISHTHA 2.0 for Secondary level (Class IX-XII) .
The association has been informed about the teacher training initiatives via a letter from the Director Education (S) and State Project Director "Samgra Shiksha", it said.
While welcoming the thoughtfulness shown by the officials, AMRPSWA urged all private school teachers to get registered themselves on DIKSHA a platform for school education initiated by the National Council of Educational Research and Training) and attend "NISHTHA 3.0 for NIPUN Bharat (FIN) 2021-22" course without fail.
Appealing private school authorities to take the initiative of informing teachers about the course, AMRPSWA also urged private school teachers to extend full co-operation towards realizing NEP 2020 .
