Reacting to the allegation of not co-operating with the doctors of Shija Hospital in examining the blood samples collected from patients suffering from suspected Japanese Encephalitis, State Medical Directorate today asserted that the blood samples provided was not accompanied with official documents.
In a statement, Additional Director of the Medical Directorate Dr Th Biren clarified that when the blood samples were brought simply wrapped in papers without any official documents, the Directorate had only requested for completing the official formalities.
The person who brought the blood samples was also told that an expert team would be send to the hospital for collecting the blood samples if it was necessary, he informed, adding that the Directorate did not receive any response from the hospital in this connection.
However, quite contrary to what had transpired, chairman and managing director of Shija Hospital has retorted to mudslinging.
This is really unfortunate, he said, asking who is the one shying way from giving co-operation in working together for the welfare of the people.
