Senapati, April 24 2022: The highway stretch between Tadubi and Ukhrul which passes through Toloi road along NH-102A has been completely blocked as strong wind uprooted electric poles and trees in between Liyai Khunou and Vaisiichu under Senapati district today morning.

Reportedly, at least five electric poles were uprooted by the wind and the hanging High Tension wires pose a serious danger to the people passing by.

The Laii Circle Union (LCU) has appealed to the department concerned to look into the matter immediately and added that the travellers along the route would be forced to return if immediate action is not taken.

It is reported that the wind has also cut off the power supply to Laii Circle areas.

No casualties were reported till the time of filing this report.
