Imphal, January 20 2010: Developmental work would not be possible unless the public put their trust and extend their full co-operation to their elected representatives, Education Minister L Jayantakumar has stated.

The Minister was speaking at the inauguration of a community hall at the ground of Konjeng Hazari Leikai Youth Development Club here today.

Apart from Education Minister L Jayantakumar who attended the function as chief guest, Councillor of Ward no.9, Imphal Municipal Council Soram Sunil Singh and president of Konjeng Hazari Leikai Development Committee Soubam Erikhomba Luwang were also present at the occasion as guest of honour and functional president respectively.

The function was organised jointly by Konjeng Hazari Leikai Development Committee, Konjeng Hazari Leikai Youth Development Club and Konjeng Hazari Leikai Meira Paibis.

Speaking at the occasion, Minister Jayantakumar appealed to the people to extend their full co-operation to their elected representatives sincerely and said that without the co-operation of the people to their representative no development work in the society would be possible.

In his presidential address, Erikhomba Luwang noted that it has been one of the long cherished dreams of the people in the locality to have a multi-purpose community hall.

Realisation of such a dream is exhilarating, he added.
