Thoubal, October 11 2021: A sit-in demonstration was organised by womenfolk of Khangabok Mayai Leikai under Wangjing Tentha assembly constituency on Monday to urge the public to be reasonable and hold peaceful and non-violent electioneering.

Speaking on the sidelines of the sit-in, BJP Women Committee Kairembikhok, member Huiningsumbam Bijenti stressed that rising cases of clashes in connection with the election and animosity among people of Kairembikhok village should be addressed and sanity must prevail amongst the people to prevent any unwanted incident.

India being a democracy, everyone in the country has the right to choose his or her representative.

All have the right to hoist flag of a party of their liking within in their property, she reasoned and reminded that living as good neighbours would be decisive for harmony in the village after the polls.
