AR conducts Swachhta Abhiyan in Moreh

Imphal, May 17 2024: Under 'Swach Bharat Abhiyan', Assam Rifles carried out a Swachhta Abhiyan in Moreh to raise awareness among troops and civilians in the town.

Additionally, Swachhta drives were conducted by troops along with villagers of surrounding villages to educate them about hygiene and sanitation, said PRO IGAR (S) in a release.

Informing that over 350 servicemen and 170 civilians actively participated in the campaign, which will continue till June 5, the PRO stated that in the coming weeks, their collective efforts will focus on promoting further programmes on donation drive, healthy lifestyle adoption, awareness about sustainable resource use, e-waste disposal, competition, and a mass tree planting drive in order to strengthen the bond between people and security forces.
