Jan Aushadhi Diwas celebrations begins

Imphal, March 01 2023: As a part of the week-long 5th 'Jan Aushadhi Diwas' celebration, a poster campaign 'Jan Aushadhi Jan Chetna Abhiyan' was organised at different locations of the state on Wednesday.

During the campaign, pamphlets and leaflets were distributed at the OPD of district hospitals and CHCs including RIMS and JNIMS to create awareness about the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJAP), a scheme under the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Department of Pharmaceuticals.

A selfie point was also set up at Mao-Imphal Market, Chingmeirong along with free distribution of Jan Aushadhi Suvidha Sarathi sanitary pads to vendors as well as to the people who visited the market.

It may be mentioned that 'Jan Aushadhi Diwas' is celebrated on March 7 every year for enhancing awareness about the PM BJAP scheme and promoting generic medicines.
