JAC sets 48-hr deadline to arrest culprits

Imphal, October 17 2022:
Joint Action Committee Against the Brutal Killing of Makakmayum Mujibur Rahman has resolved to launch intense protest by joining hands with local clubs, meira paibi and other organisations if government authorities fail to arrest those involved in the killing of Mujibur within 48 hours.
In a release, JAC convenor Kh Ziaur Rahman informed that a meeting held at Lilong Turel Ahanbi Khongnang Makhong on Monday adopted several resolutions including not to claim the body of Mujibur until the murderers are arrested.
The meeting further resolved to banish all those involved in the killing from the locality and also those providing shelter to the killer(s); investigation of the case by an officer not below the rank of SDPO; and punish the culprits at the earliest.
It further demanded to reveal the findings of post mortem examination to public before handing over the body to the deceased family.
