After the construction work of Assembly building and High Court complex was suspended for 12 months due to threats and interruption by UG outfits, BSF personnel have been deployed at the construction sites from today.
Notably, the Assembly building and the High Court complex are parts of Capitol Project and they are set for completion within 30 months.
Though foundation stone of the Capitol Project was laid by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on November 20, 2004, Kolkata based Simplex company began construction work only in 2006 .

According to the initial completion targets, construction of the Assembly building and the High Court complex should have been completed by June this year.
However, construction work of the two complexes was halted for almost 12 months due to threats and prohibition by UG outfits.
Now the revised target for completion of the two buildings is January, 2011 .
On visiting the construction sites by this reporter, company officials said that construction work was suspended for around 105 days this year alone.
Work resumed only on November 21.The estimated costs of the Assembly complex and the High Court complex are Rs 142 crores and Rs 88 crores respectively.
The company also faced great difficulties at times highway bandh/blockade as raw materials like cement, steel and sand were brought from Dimapur, the officials said.
Nevertheless, construction of the two complexes has been completed by more than 50 percent, they claimed.
In place of IRB personnel deployed at the construction site of the Assembly complex, BSF personnel have been deployed from today.
As for the High Court complex, BSF personnel have been guarding the construction site since earlier.
