Imphal, December 22 2014:
The Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) has expressed annoyance over the series of bomb blast which took place recently at Thangal Bazar and Khoyathong Bus parking and claimed the lives of several non-local labourers.
A statement issued by the JCILPS urged all concerned to stop triggering blasts in future that could derail the JCILPS and public movement for preservation of indigenous people and welfare of the non-locals.
Permitting entry of migrants with condition is indispensable.
Permitting them entry with condition through legislation is not an attack on them.
JCILPS is not against the migrants.
The JCILPS as well as the public are curious about the antecedents of the migrants.
Saying that bomb attacks on migrant labourers could put the ILPS movement in peril, it also expressed suspicion that the blasts could have been the handiworks of some individuals to derail the movement.
It demanded the Govt to act swiftly and arrest the culprits involved in such incidents.
It further urged all outfits operating in Manipur to refrain from such attacks in the backdrop of the State Govt efforts to come out with a legislation.
