Governor urges CS trainees to be aware of responsibilities

Imphal, September 16 2026:
Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla has called upon newly recruited officers to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication and a strong sense of commitment towards the welfare of the people and the State.
Addressing the newly recruited Manipur Civil Service (MCS), Manipur Finance Service (MFS), Sub-Deputy Collector (SDC) and Manipur Secretariat Service (MSS) officers at the inaugural function of their three-month foundation training, organised by the State Academy of Training (SAT), Manipur, today, in Imphal, the Governor congratulated all the officers on their selection and entry into public service.

The Governor advised the trainees to use the foundation training period to broaden their understanding, interact with people and fellow trainees, and develop a service-oriented approach.
He said that public servants must listen to the people, understand their requirements and work towards addressing their genuine needs.
The Governor encouraged the officers to make the best use of every opportunity to learn, work hard and grow in their careers.
He expressed confidence that with sincerity and perseverance, they would progress in their professional lives and contribute meaningfully to the State.

Emphasising the importance of understanding Manipur and its people, the Governor said that officers must learn about the State, its diverse communities, their aspirations and the challenges faced by the people in different fields.
He further called upon the newly recruited officers to contribute sincerely towards the welfare, development and progress of the State, and to uphold the values of integrity, responsibility and public service throughout their careers.
The Governor also interacted with the newly recruited officers and shared his experiences.
The newly recruited officers from Churachandpur and Kangpokpi districts attended the programme virtually.
Chief Secretary Rajeev Singh Thakur and other senior officers of Administrative Reforms and SAT attended the inaugural programme.
