Bpr/Jbm/Tbl, September 02 2021: As observed all over the country, '4th Rashtriya POSHAN Maah & Matru Vandana Saptah, 2021' was also organised in the State from September 1 to September 30 .

BISHNUPUR
District Administration Bishnupur in collaboration with ICDS Cell Bishnupur launched the month-long 'Rashtriya POSHAN Maah & Matru Vandana Saptah, 2021' today at Panchayat Resource Centre Bishnupur.

The programme was attended by Oinam AC MLA, L Radhakishor Khuman; Krishna Kuma, DC Bishnupur; Dr Th Romabai Devi, Adhyaksha Bishnupur Zilla Parishad; and Ng Sovana Devi, Pradhan Keinou Gram Panchayat as presidium members.

The keynote address was delivered by ICDS Cell Bishnupur, Programme Officer, Th Santibala Devi.

Later, a rally participated by Anganwadi workers was also flagged off by DC Bishnupur.

JIRIBAM
'Rashtriya POSHAN Maah & Matru Vandana Saptah, 2021' was also launched in Jiribam district at DC Office Complex, Chingdong leikai by ICDS Project Jiribam.

The programme was attended by W Malemnganba Chenglei, DC Jiribam; S Indrajit Singh, Sub- Divisional Officer Jiribam; Thoudam Amurashi Devi, Zonal Education Officer; Dr N Saroja Devi, Medical Officer Ayush; K Memila Devi, Ward Member Dibong GP; and Ningthoujam Parango Singh, CDPO Jiribam.

A number of activities would be conducted during the month-long POSHAN including tree plantation, Yoga, Ayush for Nutrition, distribution of 'Regional Nutrition Kit' to Angawadi beneficiaries of High Burdened District, identification of SAM Children and distribution of nutritious food, etc.

THOUBAL
The 4th Rashtriya POSHAN Maah & Matru Vandana Saptah, 2021 was also launched in Thoubal district under the theme 'Converging towards on healthy walk through life' .

The programme was organised by District Administration Thoubal in collaboration with DPO, ICDS Cell, Thoubal at District Election Counting Hall.

The National Nutrition Month would be conducted till September 30 .

It was attended by Thoubal District Zilla Parishad Adhyaksha, Hashina; Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, Rangnamei Rang Peter; Ph Heramani, Member Charangpat Zilla Parishad and Chief Medical Officer Thoubal, Dr Y Nokul as presidium members.

As a part of the Matru Vandana Saptah, financial assistance was provided to 3 selected mothers with first born babies.

The programme was also attended by DLOs, ADMs and AC Thoubal.
